Game report BIKO - Sählykerho

BIKO – Sählykerho 5 – 9

1 – 1 Artur
2 – 2 Jukka (Jussi)
3 – 2 Topi (Artur)
4 – 9 Topi (Jukka)
5 – 9 Craig (Artur)

We eventually managed to get up a decent team for the game. Marko made it to the rink and gave a good support for our defence. David F also made his first appearance in the BIKO games. Not the easiest game to start with, but well done. Welcome!

Sählykerho guys were admittedly more skilful than we are nowadays. They probably had one additional advantage over us – they had obviously been practising together (that’s the thing that the untalented have to do before entering the rink, remember?). They managed to keep the ball at our end for most of the time. They were eager to shoot, and constantly (and neatly) played the ball in the middle for good shots. Nevertheless, they were defending less eagerly and we could create good attacks every now and then with our hallmark dash - long pass – hassle – tactics. Artur and Topi were the most successful in this, together scoring 3+2 points.

The differences in the average fitness (and/or average age?) became to show in the second period and the third was rather hard for us. Especially for Jani, I guess. Craig, Topi and Artur deviced two goals in the end, however. That was a good way to end the game, which could have ended with way more nastier numbers. Jani did a few amazing saves, too. Thanks guys!

Jukka
