Game report BIKO - Dynamo

Biko Dynamo 3-3

1-1 Enni (Anni)
2-2 Craig (Mika mv.)
3-3 ?? (Was it Miika and Henri?)

A real game report after quite a long break. Work is pushing on so hard that I just don't have the time to write these. Volunteers?

Enni is back, and in big style. She scored our opening goal and made the team breath a little bit easier. We were constantly chasing Dynamo, being just one goal behind. The referee could not start the game clock and had to rely on his cell phone to follow the time, which made the game a little erratic. I'm pretty sure the first periods last "1 and a half minutes" lasted at least three. Conveniently, when our attack turned for Dynamo, we started asking (very loudly) what's the time?

Anyway. Technical comments: We froze, constantly. OK, it is not about mad rushing around the rink chasing the ball, but it ain't about staying still and asking 'who's gonna take it?' either. The first period was quite notably in two parts, first 5 minutes eagerly attacking, and the last 10 (or 12) trying to catch breath and staying still in the defense position.

It got better. After a couple of stern words most of the team got back to the rhythm of the game. Dynamo had the upper hand, though, and our attackers were not aiming very well :) so the opponent constantly had a goals lead. Just a few seconds before the end of the game (we were not aware of the time), we tied to 3-3, and prepared to defend like heck for the last 20 seconds or so. And then, the game was over. It pretty much felt like a victory. You could read the opposite feelings on Dynamos faces.

As all probably knew, our trusted goal keeper Jani could not make it. We managed to lure Mika to the game instead, and a very good find he is. He claims himself that he has not been playing for a couple of years, and that this was his first game for a long time. Well. He pretty much saved us, and left an assist point under his belt. The acrobatics we saw very much reminded me of another goalie, from years back... Big applause!

See you all in the next game,

Anni
